Migrants mobiles et immobiles
Résumé
This article studies the social space of Malian migrants who, for more than forty years, have built networks and used their mobilities in order to set up forms of legitimacy and recognition, both in hostland and homeland. Recontructing the social space of these men and women, on the relatively long time of a migration, implies the understanding of multiple circulations rethinking immobilities through the lens of mobilities and mobilities through the lens of immobilities. This paper will be based on several fields realized between 2001 and 2011 in France and Mali with Malian migrants, members of development associations, with the aim of pointing out the local production of space in a mobile world.
