languages of social policy are informed and fed by debates at the national level and differences - not only of language - abound there. However, the peculiar characteristics of EU level forums and arenas explain how transnational languages are created and used by all sorts of elites joining in the process of their creation. Scientific forums are not immune from this influence, which is corrupting their initial vocation.
