Brazil, the "giant" of Latin America
Le Brésil, géant de l’Amérique latine
Résumé
Brazil ranks number two population of the Americas after the United States, and the fifth most populous state. It represents almost half of the population of South America. In the first census carried out in Brazil in 1872, the country had only 10 million people, which means that the population has increased by nearly twenty since. How to explain such a population growth? And this rate will he continue?
