Jean Simon Bonnemain (1743-1830) and the Origins of Hot Water Central Heating

Bonnemain quoted as the pioneer of hot water central heating, needed to have a research on his person and works. In this text there is a chronological table, a biography, a description of his different inventions, and a presentation on how his work was spread at different periods and countries until now. Pictures of his first chickens incubator, his economic cooker, his water-stove, his late incubator were available, followed by references.

Bonnemain est connu des historiens comme le pionnier du chauffage central à l'eau chaude, cependant on ignorait ses dates et son prénom et aucune recherche spécifique n'avait été faite sur son œuvre. Ce texte comble ce manque en donnant un tableau chronologique de la biographie et des travaux de Bonnemain, des éléments biographiques, une description de ses nombreuses inventions et enfin une présentation de la diffusion éditoriale de ses travaux dans les différents pays durant le XIXe et le XXe siècles. Des illustrations de son premier incubateur à poussin, de sa cuisinère mobile, de son calorifère à eau ainsi que de sa dernière couveuse et poussinière enrichissent le texte qui est suivi d'une listes des references.
