Éthique et philosophie politique chez Karl Polanyi
Résumé
To understand Karl Polanyi's work, it is necessary to emphasize the main features of his philosophical view. His position is opposed both to the utilitarian and Marxist approaches. This represents the basis of his original theoretical work. This paper focuses on the relationship between individuals and society, according to the Rousseau's dilemma between particular will and general will. Polanyi comes back to this problem in order to identify the features of the general will, its relationships with freedom and individual will, its degeneration into a totalitarian perspective. From this point of view, the role of education is relevant.
Per comprendere il lavoro di Karl Polanyi, è necessario sottolineare le caratteristiche principali della sua visione filosofica. La sua posizione si oppone sia all'approccio utilitaristico che a quello marxista. Questo rappresenta la base del suo lavoro teorico. Il tema del presente paper è il rapporto tra individui e società, a partire dal dilemma di Rousseau tra volontà particolare e volontà generale. Polanyi ritorna su questo problema per identificare i caratteri della volontà generale, i suoi rapporti con la libertà e la volontà individuale, la sua degenerazione verso il totalitarismo. Da questo punto di vista, il ruolo dell'educazione è rilevante.
