Enseigner les mathématiques en RASED : effets différentiels d’un dispositif d’aide

Abstract : A teaching device has been designed to help pupils to solve additive problems. This device is grounded on mathematics education research. It has been implemented with students (3rd grade, 8 years old) which have significant learning difficulties. The effects of this device were evaluated in a global and differential way. The positive results confirm the didactic choices and show a variability of pupils’ progress which depends on their initial level as well as on their commitment in an authentic mathematical activity: solving problems, examining possible procedures and justifying the effective methods.
