Internet dans la jurisprudence de la Cour européenne des droits de l'Homme

Abstract : This article gives an overview of the ongoing trends in the European Court of Human Rights’ case law regarding the Internet. We start by presenting the ways in which the Court has applied the general principles governing its traditional jurisprudence on freedom of expression to the Internet. We then show that, when the Court stresses the specific nature of the Internet as a means of communications, it construes it as a “dangerous space” condoning wider restrictions of freedom of speech than those generally accepted.
