La vigne, le vin et le climat vus par un notable lavallois au début du XVIème.

Abstract : Guillaume Le Doyen described the harvest quality (wheat and grapes) at Laval between 1481 and 1537, providing a climatic series showing the probable Little Age remission. The decrease in vine surfaces and wine production in this region and at that period gives way to wine importation from Anjou. This is due to a combination between the increase in cider production, transport improvement and unsuitable climate for viticulture.
