En effet, selon les règles de correspondance entre le tibétain et le japhug, il est impossible à dire si ?a/t?-?a et tib. sha étaient cognats ou emprunts. Le cas est différent en zbu, langue tonale. En effet, la rime du tib. -a correspond à -é/-î dans les mots hérités, et ê dans les mots empruntés au tibétain. On trouve les exemples dans des mots culturels dont le statut d'emprunt n'a pas de doute : t?mdê « fusil » < tib. mda, mnê « serment » < tib. mna, cf. v?r?î « cent, que le verbe k?-nt?hé? est emprunté au tibétain bsha·ba, sur un thème hypothétique ? 'cha. Des dénominaux semblables, tels que 'jo·ba « traire (une vache) » de zho « yaourt < *lait » ont un thème présent qui oscillent entre bzho et 'jo. Dans les dialectes tibétains modernes qui préserve le mieux la conjugaison du vieux tibétain, tels que le amdo, vol.168, pp.97-98, 2003.

, Sur la base de cette description, élaborée au fil d'enquêtes de première main sur cette langue fortement en danger, un volet diachronique est proposé. Celui-ci contribue au projet général d'une reconstruction du groupe rgyalronguique, entreprise collective qui a des implications importantes pour la reconstruction du sino-tibétain dans son ensemble. , This thesis aims at descriptive exhaustivity for its phonology and attempts to lay the foundation of a reference grammar, in order to characterize its inflectional morphology in the perspective of general linguistics. Based on the description of this highly endangered language, the thesis contains a diachronic discussion, which contributes to the project of reconstructing Proto-Rgyalrongic, a collective enterprise which has important implications for the reconstruction of Sino-Tibetan as a whole. Notably, a reconstruction is proposed of the time-aspect-modality (TAM) marking system of Proto-Upper-Rgyalrong, the most recent common ancestor of Japhug, Tshobdun and Zbu.
