Histoire de la perspective (XIIIe-XVe siècles)
Résumé
Synthetic study about the history of optics (perspectiva) between Vitellion (ca. 1270) and Blasius of Parma (beginning of XVth century). This work should later be published in an Italian encyclopedia of sciences. The study exmaninees Vitelliion, John Peckham, Roger Bacon, Thierry (Dietrich) of Freiberg and Blasius of Parma. The issues concern the hetirage from Antiquity (Aristotle, Ptolemy, Euclide) and Arab (Avicenna or Ibn Sina, Alhazen or Ibn al-Haytham) in Latin perspectivists, the relation between physics ans mathematics in optics, and some more technical isssues such as the nature of visual ray, the calculus of reflection and refraction, the theory of colors and of the rainbow.
