Biodigesteur Anaérobie : Proposition de Configuration Compacte Utilisant des Eaux Grises et du Fumier de Mouton

Abstract : Energy use of organic solid waste (RSO) through biogas is a known technology for using cattle manure and water supply. However, the context of water scarcity in the Sertões de Crateús region and the limitations to cattle raising demand adaptations. The aim of the present study was to configure a small-scale biodigester to enable the study of gray water and sheep inoculum in the treatment of leftover rice and beans. For the R1 system (control system), the manure was diluted in distiller waste water, ground in an industrial blender and left at room temperature. As for the R2 system, the water used was for rinsing kitchen utensils. After 25 days, the first batch was carried out, adequate time, second monitoring, to maintain the pH of the inoculant mixture around 7.2 and not inhibit methanogenesis. Each feed had 1 L of water and 500g of waste (150g of inoculum and 350g of RSO, divided equally into rice and beans, as, according to the literature, among the food waste analyzed, they are the most efficient in the production of biogas). Because the microorganisms do not settle right after the introduction of organic food waste in the reactor, the use of sheep inoculum was essential for the colonization of the systems, as it reduced the time for biostabilization of organic matter. Among the basic parameters for monitoring systems, pH, temperature, total organic carbon and Chemical Oxygen Demand were identified as fundamental. The results of the analysis of the affluent samples, due to the high content of organic matter, exploded, even with successive dilutions, making preliminary results of the parameters impossible. It is expected that, as the project progresses, this biodigestor configuration will be consolidated, favoring the proper management of RSO and water in semi-arid areas.
