Chroniques à la frontière: Correspondance entre un anthropologue et un jongleur

Abstract : Starting from the creation process of Chroniques à la frontière (30'), a piece created with my friend Vincent Berhault, author, director and juggler, I examine the relationships we developed together, with audiences and non-human actants (apparatus, performance venues, normative frameworks, etc.). I draw on the concept of "correspondence," defined by Tim Ingold (2017), as well as that of relationships between "companion species" proposed by Donna Haraway (2018). I will thus show the delocalized and extroverted character of the writing process unfolding in these experiments; a process within which the authors are not the sole creators, but rather points of expression and actualization of virtualities produced by an assemblage that exceeds them. This leads us to consider these experiments at the crossroads of art and anthropology as something more than mere alternative modes of presentation and diffusion of a research. They have much more to contribute since they open new sensitive spaces which rearrange the conditions of emergence of thought and creation. Much more than mediums, they renew and deeply enrich our working frame and process.
