Profil enseignant et compétences psychosociales des élèves : quels liens établir au sein de la classe ?

Abstract : Research into the determinants of academic success and of students’ career paths is a major concern of educational researchers. While many variables are explored and analysed to gain a better understanding of student trajectories, some still receive little attention. These include certain characteristics of teachers and the psychosocial skills of pupils. This article has a single aim: to establish an empirical link between this teacher profile and psychosocial skills developed in students. The value of the study lies in a confirmatory and exploratory analysis and possible avenues of reflection which could lead to a better understanding of students’ academic success.
