La Directive Cadre sur l’Eau et sa mise en application : entre les deux coule une rivière - étude de cas dans le Maine-et-Loire

Abstract : After the legal developments of the 21st century in the water sector (DCE, 2000 and LEMA, 2006), numerous projects aimed at restoring ecological continuities or renaturing have been carried out throughout France. Controversies and conflicts emerge in many cases, caused by objectives which are sometimes vague and / or misunderstood by certain actors. Through three case studies chosen in the Maine-et-Loire department, this research illustrates the complexity of the situations in which these projects are implemented and the controversies that emerge from them. Substantial investments by communities for successive and contradictory developments in a short period of time raise questions, as does the question of the reference state and more generally of the objectives targeted by this management.
