Accaparement des terres par les promoteurs nationaux et internationaux et stratégies de survie des populations locales : le cas de la commune de Nguéniène (Mbour-Sénégal)

Abstract : Like the countries of sub-saharan Africa, land has become a major issue in Senegal in a context of the rise of economic liberalism and land corruption. This situation calls for in-depth studies of land issues to highlight the repercussions of poor land management. The context of the Municipality of Nguéniène is used here to analyze the survival strategies of local populations in the face of land grabbing by land predators. Our analyzes show that Nguéniène is subject to strong land speculation which is supplied by the Town Hall in general and by the peasants in particular. The analysis of this territory, suffering from monopolization, shows an awareness of the populations with strategies ranging from promoter to farm worker. Keywords : Land grabbing, land speculation, farm worker, strategy, Nguéniène
