Aqba-Hammu et le début du mythe d’Atram-hasis

Abstract : A letter sent by the deviner Aqba-Hammu, brother-in-law of the king of Karana, to Zimri-Lim de Mari could provide an additional argument for interpreting the first verse of Atram-hasis, which has been hotly debated since its publication in 1969. The Mari letter shows that a locatif-adverbial could be used to express a comparison in the old Babylonian period. For this reason, the author agrees with W. G. Lambert's interpretation of the verse.
