L'éclat aveuglant du fétiche. À propos de la scène du pouvoir et de ses effets de leurre

Abstract : The emblems of the kasena chieftainship - a hill of garbage (puru) and a horn sheathed by leather and buried in multiple envelopes (kwara) - are “built” in the speeches as agencies that give its basis to the power of a leader. The analysis of the foliated structure of the horn will allow us to illustrate the function of the fetich as screen, and therefore, to have access to the building of the power among the Kasena. The author shall try to show that in this assembly of representations, unbearable shine of the horn naked, which " strike and blinds " (including the leader) works as an ultimate screen which, quite at the same time, gives to see and hides one beyond the veil marked by the lack.
