La santé sociale des nouvelles régions françaises et son évolution (2008-2016)

Abstract : In 2008, we had developed a multidimensional indicator estimating, for the year 2004, the social health of the French regions. Result of collective deliberations, this indicator had been selected by the Sustainable Development Environment Commission of the Association of French Regions (ARF, 2012). It Had also been chosen as one of the key indicators in the Eva Sas' first draft law in 2014. This working paper updates and enriches this indicator : It reconstructs series from the reconfiguration of "new" French regions and estimates the evolution of the regio-nal social health up to the end of the 2010s. It shows that some regions are very dynamic in terms of social health (Bretagne, Pays de la Loire) while others remain far behind, in particular the Hauts-de-France. Finally, this ISH is confronted with a multidimensional measure of ecolo-gical performance.
