Les langues africaines pour un développement local ouvert

Abstract : In northern Cameroon as in other parts of Africa, the population is growing faster than infrastructure. Almost 60% of North Cameroonians are under the age of twenty. The younger generations cannot benefit from a full cultural heritage from their parents and the modern school fails to compensate for this loss. To remedy this situation, we propose to provide at school local knowledge in the local language.
