Une intrigante figurine du bas Tilemsi (Sahel malien)

Abstract : A terracotta figurine discovered nearly half a century ago in the north of Gao is placed in the chrono-cultural framework that it lacked. Modeled at one time or another between the middle of the 3rd and 2nd millennia B.C. in an agro-pastoral context, this figurine represents an entity with a head and limbs that are not detached from the body, endowed with a gaze and wearing a human-like headdress. It constitutes the southernmost witness of a vast cultural phenomenon that manifested itself over a long period of time during the Saharan-Sahelian protohistory.
