Abstract : During the initiation into the Do cult, an entire male age group successively acquires several models of leaf masks made entirely of fresh tree leaves. The esoteric meaning is accessible only to the initiated, but the morphological, ecological, phenological, physical, plastic and aesthetic characteristics of the species refer to the unity of the class of initiates as well as to the order and harshness of the initiatory journey.
