Les Film Festival Studies, éléments pour une épistémologie d’un nouveau champ de recherche

Abstract : Since the early 2010’s is increasing the number of publications, meetings, courses referring to Film Festival Studies. However, film festivals attracted interest from researchers, drawn from many disciplines. Do this phenomenon reveal a new dynamic over the last decade, an explicit willingness to cling to the Anglo-Saxon tradition of the Studies? This text endeavors to suggest some reflections about the specificity of the studies which address this subject – film and audiovisual festivals – in order to lay the groundwork of the epistemology of a search field to be built.
