Inequalities and the dynamics of capitalism : will democracy survive ? Albion W. Small’s view

As the United States was in the midst of socio economic upheaval, Albion W. Samll relied on his personal academic connections to militate against inequalities. The present work, which relies heavily on archival documents ans on Small's personnal works, intends to discose Small's multi-faceted approach to the question of inequalities. It furthermore seeks, wherever possible, to drow relevant parallels with our contemporary state of affairs. The Smallian perspective is not only concerned with tackling inequalities within society ; it is also a larger concern for the survival order and democratic institutions.
