Écritures transgressives et pensée de la transgression. Sade et Bataille lus par Foucault

Abstract : Why and in what terms did Michel Foucault include the operation of transgression in his thought? To answer this question, this article focuses on two major figures of transgression who are writer-thinkers who occupy a very special and privileged place in Foucault's work: Sade and Bataille. In particular, I wish to show how Foucault, through literature and through these two authors in particular, links the question of transgression to that of a "limit-experience" whose scope goes far beyond that of a gratuitous act and refers instead to the critical dimension of a reflection on order, on the ordering of things in the element of discourse and on the destabilizing power of language.
