Charles de Foucauld est un homme de son temps. En faire un “ultra” de la colonisation est absurde

Abstract : The life of Charles de Foucauld (1858-1916) has inspired both prosecutors and hagiographers, both of whom are equally unconcerned about historical rigour. Having already had the opportunity to study the prose of the hagiographers on several occasions, we will speak here only of the public prosecutors, whose zeal has been rekindled by the current vogue for the unbolting of statues and the prospect of the forthcoming canonization of the hermit of Tamanrasset.
