La « bombe démographique » est-elle désamorcée ?

Abstract : Among the advanced prospective ideas put forward in the past, that of a "demographic bomb" has been widely disseminated since the late 1960s. It was intended to mean that the world would experience population growth of an intensity similar to that of a bomb exploding, with all the damaging consequences that would entail. Has this frightening idea ever materialized? If not, could it be true by 2030? These questions can be answered by a careful analysis of demographic realities and developments.
