Paris, capitale des abeilles ?

Abstract : Beekeeping is a huge success today in urban areas and this phenomenon seems set to turn Paris into the “bee capital.” Formerly the world’s capital, the city has become a “small capital,” similar to all others, in these times of globalization. With this new capital status, are we witnessing a reversal of history? The analysis of literary and ethnographic sources allows for the counterbalancing of the image of Paris as a super-capital and the shaping of the image of a city that is just like any other.
