Passif des verbes psychologiques construits avec la séquence [par ce que P] : étude d'un complément d'agent pas très canonique

Abstract : Adjectival passive sentences with SYCH verbs combined with the French chain [par ce que P] : remarks on a non-canonical case of agent. This study will examine a particular type of "diathesis", sometimes called "adjectival passive" or "attributive passive". This kind of sentences is considered by a number of linguists as a non-canonical variety of "periphrastic passive sentences". We will focus, especially, on the cases where a psychological verb is followed by the French sequence [par ce que P] (≈ "by what…") that acts as a "passive agent", which is quite unusual, both in terms of its form (relative clause modifying a neutral demonstratif pronoun) and its sense (it is often intermingled with the expression of the cause). The sequence [par ce que P] will be also compared to the French conjunction parce que (≈"because").
