Le « nouveau PACS », concurrent du mariage ?

Abstract : Originally, the French law of 15 November 1999 establishing a Civil Solidarity Pact (PACS) was designed primarily to meet the demands of homosexual associations. By establishing a status of the couple regardless of gender, it differs from the laws in the Scandinavian countries that have generally chosen the formula of "homosexual partnership." Then, over the French legislative decisions, a "new" PACS seems to have become a competitor of marriage.
