L'identité gay, plus facile à vivre à 60 ans qu'à 20 ? : Conférence à l’Université Libre de Bruxelles, Mardi 22 octobre 2019

Abstract : This lecture is based on research conducted as part of a project on sexual disaffection among men and women over 65 years old in France, regardless of their sexual orientation. In the rest of my paper, I will focus on a few peculiarities of gay ageing. However, I am not the first to have taken an interest in these issues since there are a number of foreign works, published since the 1970s, on the issue of gay ageing. What they all have in common is that they show that aging can be successful and that they go against the conventional wisdom that older gay men are bound to live in loneliness and nostalgia for their youth.
