"Le punk rêve-t-il en rose?"

Abstract : Punk rock departed from the codes and practices of the Establishment by advocating simplicity, generating its own norms, and offering new textual and linguistic themes. Since punk lacks long-term perspective (“no future”) and focuses on despair, what is the place left for the love song in the genre? The article explores these issues by considering forty years of French punk rock.
