L’occupation protohistorique de Bobigny (Seine-Saint-Denis)

Abstract : The Bobigny settlement spans over 20 hectares of which 3 separate sectors were completely excavated linked to each other by trail trenches. The finds, the similar pattern of meat consumption and numerous archaeological data indicate that the site was occupied perhaps continuously from the La Tène B to the La Tène D1 period. The settlement adopts either an open plan settlement, surrounded by satellite settlements or is one vast urban type settlement with a stream running through it. 0,4% of the site has been explored and the results indicate that it was during the La Tène C2 and D1 that the settlement was at its height.
