Autour du confluent Seine-Yonne aux IXe-VIe siècles : tendances évolutives des céramiques et chronologie

Abstract : Leaving aside the few burials of uncertain date, the analysis of the Early Iron Age around the Seine-Yonne confluence can only be accomplished using data from domestic sites, the pits of which are often filled withpottery. This abundant data has been put to use to establish a local chronological framework using pottery forms and decoration. The chronological period in question is situated between the end of the Bronze Age (BF IIIa-IIIB) and the final phase of the Hallstatt (Ha D2/3). A typochronology has thus been defined using pottery dating from the 9th et the 6th century BC. It takes into account the following parameters : pottery assemblages, morphological evolution of certain forms and decoration. The typology was then crossed with data from metallic series and other objects that are few and far between but have the advantage of referring to the funerary sphere with its own typology.
