Les horizons néolithiques du site des "Sablins" étaples (Pas-de-Calais). : Résultats préliminaires du programme 2003-2009

Abstract : The first results of a recently completed six-year project are briefly presented here. Numerous new discoveries may be added to those of earlier researchers. Among these, a particular highlight is the recording of numerous stakeholes - evidence for insubstantial structural features, along with a ceramic vessel which offers some points of similarity with pottery of the Carinated Bowl tradition in britain. In addition, the palaeoenvironment of the site has been clarified by an exhaustive micromorphological study. All of these elements, which remain to be closely studied, will contribute to the functional interpretation of the site, located on a river estuary of the utmost importance for the study of cross-channel relationships.
