Un histoire littéraire à destination de l'étranger
Résumé
The study analyzes a particular case of national literary history in its international dimension: Enver Hoxha’s communist Albania published in foreign languages, at local publishing houses, books on literary history topics, which were destined to be exported and reach foreign readers. The result was a truncated (partly legendary) image of Albanian literature. After outlining the particularities of the Albanian cultural history , and after having searched for the causes of the communist insti-t utionalization of literature and of its historiography, we attempt to unveil the main discursived evices of those official texts (a literary history , anthologies and forewords to literary volumes).
