Résumé
The present Vietnamese version of the International Phonetic Alphabet was produced as part of a project by the Alphabet, Charts and Fonts committee of the International Phonetic Association to collect and post IPA charts whose metatext is in languages other than English (but which are in all other ways the same as the current chart in English). This project is inspired by the 2011 publication of a Chinese IPA chart, by the Phonetic Association of China, in the Journal of the IPA. This chart is currently a draft, open for public comment. After a period for comments, the committee will ask the full Council of the IPA to approve these charts for permanent posting on the IPA’s website.
Le présent document est une version vietnamienne de l'Alphabet phonétique international (API), produite dans le cadre d'un projet du comité Alphabet, tableaux et polices de l'Association phonétique internationale visant à établir et publier des tableaux de l'API dont le métatexte soit dans des langues autres que l'anglais (mais qui soient par ailleurs en tous points identiques au tableau original anglais). Ce projet s'inspire de la publication en 2011 d'un tableau de l'API en chinois, par l'Association phonétique de Chine, dans la revue de l'Association phonétique internationale (Journal of the IPA). Le tableau vietnamien constitue, dans sa forme actuelle, une proposition ouverte aux commentaires du public. Après une certaine période, le comité demandera au Conseil de l'Association Phonétique Internationale d'approuver ces cartes en vue d'une publication permanente sur le site internet de l'Association.
Tập tin này gồm: bản tiếng Việt của Bảng phiên âm quốc tế (IPA), và một số giải thích về việc dịch các thuật ngữ sang tiếng Việt.
Việc dịch gặp rất nhiều khó khăn do một số thuật ngữ chưa hề được dịch sang Tiếng Việt trước đây, một số khác lại được một số dịch giả dịch theo các cách khác nhau. Mỗi một thuật ngữ được đề xuất trong bảng IPA phiên bản tiếng Việt này đều đã được cân nhắc và trao đổi kĩ càng trong nhóm thực hiện để đưa ra phương án hợp lý nhất, tuân thủ 3 tiêu chí như sau:
- Rõ và sát với nét nghĩa chính của thuật ngữ gốc,
- Ưu tiên các cách dịch đã phổ biến và lưu hành trong giới Việt ngữ học,
- Ngắn gọn, dễ hiểu và mang tính hệ thống.
