Rapports à l'espace, discours et portée politique de l'activisme urbain à Mumbai : l'initiative Urbz face à l'élargissement de l'arène publique

Abstract : This contribution questions the relations in the space, the discourses and the political impact of a group of urban activists who tend to widen the field of its interventions in and on the city by mobilizing the possibilities offered by the new Internet Technologies. Committed in participative projects considered as alternatives to the policies which, in the name of urban renovation, often lead to transform the residential and economic practices of number of inhabitants of shanty towns or historical districts of Mumbai, these actors seem to reveal new spatial skills and to allow to renew the modes of urban actions and expertise. Their initiatives wish to contribute to the extension of the urban public arena, place where are discussed the ideas, where are emerging conflicts and confronting different visions of the future of the city.
