Dynamiques collectives entre employeurs âgés et salariés aidants : une co-construction du bien vieillir au domicile

Abstract : This research conducted in 2017 among employees of older employers has highlighted the collective construction of work between employee and employer. More precisely, this collective dynamic is the object of a “support work” produced by the employees and co-constructed with the elderly person assisted. These results were produced from semi-structured interviews conducted with 10 employees and elderly employers. Such interviews were analyzed using the ergonomic approach of work analysis. This article explores the aspects of this collective dynamic that is characteristic of co-presence situations at home. Support work is built between forms of co-activity and cooperation, allowing the maximum independence of each elderly person and well-being at home. Such collective dynamics draw a way to improve the occupational risks prevention in these professions. Two directions for future action appear: (i) exploring ways of taking-care collectively of work and (ii) examining specificities of working in a private home requiring to share space.
