Etat de la recherche sur les micromammifères et l’herpétofaune quaternaires en France

Abstract : Microvertebrates are often found in abundance in Quaternary archaeological and palaeontological sites, and bring numerous information on the age of a sequence, the taphonomic context, the palaeoenvironments, the anthropisation of the habitats, the human subsistence, as well as on symbolic purposes. All these aspects are addressed in this chapter, which aims to provide a brief synthesis of researches and methodological advances in the field of Quaternary microfaunas in France over the last thirty years.
