Die Atmosphärisierung der Alltagserfahrung

Abstract : From the stifling smog of congested megacities to the artificial atmosphere of a postmodern shopping mall, air is intimately involved in a whole range of societal devices, ranging from microscale to macroscale. The transformation of contemporary territories may involve installing specific atmospheres, controlled climates, and other forms of modified air. How about the existence of air in its different modalities and in our ability to experience it in various ways? We are immersed in a transversive field which plays on all the senses and all the registers of social experience. As a tentative proposition, we may draw a distinction between air as weather, subnature, commodity, and the ambient.
