L’exo-patrimonialisation : déplacements et légitimités comme prémisses de l’attribution d’une valeur patrimoniale à un territoire

Abstract : Based on two case studies dealing with nature heritagization in Argentina and Canary islands, and on a brief survey of some scientific studies, this paper will provide a reflection on how the displacement of social actors with a legitimacy gained outside of a considered territory can focus the attention of local inhabitants and stakeholders on unseen qualities of their territory. The present article seeks to provide and characterize, in an exploratory way, the concept of “exo-heritagization” in order to describe how the displacement to a territory functions as a premise to its heritagization.
