The network is aware of, and will comply with, the objective set by Horizon 2020 on gender equality and more specifically with gender balance in research teams, decision- making, and integrating sex and gender analysis in Research and Innovation content (European Commission, 2013). The network will continue to pay close attention to issues of gender balance when employing post- doctoral research assistants. The Advisory Board (AB) will play a key role in ensuring the currency and relevance of the project as a whole. Its membership has been selected to provide the consortium with targeted advice on specific aspects of the work plan. The functions of the AB will be to provide guidance and advice at key stages of the project, in addition to feedback on the project’s deliverables (reports, working papers, impact and dissemination events). Advisory Board meetings will be held annually to coincide with workshops or ‘flagship’ events, and individual members of the group will also be invited to attend specific workshops/stakeholder events to facilitate discussion and contribute their expertise.
