Comme dit l’auteur tragique : la présence d’Euripide chez Philon d’Alexandrie

Abstract : This paper focuses on Philo Alexandrinus' reception of Euripides from a double perspective : the reception of the greek drama in the hellenistic era and the place of poetry in the Bible and in the judeo-hellenistic literature. Different forms of intertextuality (explicit quotations, simple references to Euripides) are identified, not only in the works (a priori) destinated to a greek public, but also in the exegetical treatises and in the allegorical interpretation itself. The analysis of those passages highlights a quite subtile relationship between the philonic exegesis and the athenian poet.
