Vide et vacuité en esthétique chinoise (Calligraphie-peinture, musique et poésie)

Abstract : Concerning the notions of emptiness and incompleteness, Chinese qin zither, poetry and painting share the same aesthetics: the particle “兮 xi” creates the same pause in poetry and in music, the blank which corresponds to mists in painting, linked to the breath and the unspeakable, invisible, inaudible. The aim of the paper is to show how the will to avoid a work to be closed on itself is perceptible through the value attributed to the vacuity (an emptiness, incompleteness, with a huge potentiality).
