L’IDENTITE DE L’EUROPE ET LA QUESTION DES VALEURS

Abstract : [The question of the existence of values common to the different territories of Europe is essential, because can peoples choose to share the same destiny if they do not have common ideals? The answer to this question can be enlightened by exami-ning the values that emerge from the civilization efforts - inevitably discontinuous - observed over the centuries on the European continent. This theme of values is re-flected in the course of treaties and European texts. However, as the theme of Euro-pean identity remains to be clarified, it inevitably faces different issues.]
