DES PREFERENCES POLITIQUES CONTRADICTOIRES AVANT L'ELECTION PRESIDENTIELLE DE 2017

Abstract : In line with works on the formation of electoral choices, we use pre and post election data from the Dynamob panel to highlight how voters can express, before the 2017 presidential elections, preferences for multiple candidates, and sometimes conflicting preferences. It is shown that these bizarre preferences are, however, consistent with general political orientations and with the votes declared in the first round by interviewees. These preferences are politically significant facts that ought to be explained.
