13. Le réformisme conservateur : Examen de quelques paradoxes des analyses et des réformes contemporaines de l’enseignement supérieur

Abstract : The belief that high-school graduates are not given proper guidance when they enter higher education has led to the introduction of a quota system in vocational tracks, and brought back the issue of selective admission to university. Yet these measures only contribute to the reinforcement of social segregation in college. The apparent consistency of this conservative reformism is due to the way in which it shapes the public debate according to a managerialist and ahistorical view of students’ careers.
