Abstract : Based on a concrete experience in Douala (Cameroon), this paper presents the transposition of the stages of a research into a course intended for students in geography. The context of the work presented, the road map guiding the progression of learning proposes a succession of tasks. The problem concerns the sharing of urban space in the city of Douala between formal and informal activities. To address this issue, data are collected step by step, geocoded, geolocated, qualified, spatially analyzed, historicized and ultimately modeled. At each step, a new file is produced that leads to geovisualizations of the data shared online. The"G2I" progression towards the solution to the geographical problem posed (Geography) requires the progress of skills in the use of geomatic tools (Informatics) and the remote digital work environment (Internet).
