"Tristan(o) — Retour vers le futur d’un roman médiéval"

Abstract : Nanni Balestrini’s Tristano is an experimental novel, generated by a complex system of combinations, resulting in each version of the novel being different and unique. Without strictly assimilating medieval mouvance to some big textual lottery, this article aims at demonstrating how medieval prose novels may prove helpful to understand this strange poetic object, which challenges both medieval philology and artistic ontology.
