La santé selon Montaigne

Abstract : Michel de Montaigne suffered kidney stones, causing him intermittent pain. Tied in with joy, health must be sought in pleasant places and enjoyable company, by cultivating natural remedies and avoiding passions. Having little or no use for surgeons, pharmacists and doctors (whose ignorance and lack of commitment he denounced), Montaigne set out his options for prevention and offered praise of good health but also of disease, including his own, which he proposed to treat with respect.
